The Casale
Old stone, open air, and nowhere to be but here.
For generations this was a working Umbrian farmhouse, its thick stone walls and external staircase unchanged by time. Restored with a light hand, it keeps its beamed ceilings and terracotta floors while giving a large group all the room it needs to spread out and come back together.
The estate is divided into seven bedrooms with en-suite baths and two separate apartments, within the main casale, plus a standalone pet-friendly guest house (the ‘Casina’) on the grounds adjacent to the pool — so families and couples get their own space before everyone meets again by the pool or on one of three terraces as the light turns gold.
Two wood-burning fireplaces, one wood-burning stove and two energy-efficient pellet stoves (one in the Casina) keep the casale extremely cozy in the wintertime, while the thick stone walls and closed shutters throughout the daylight hours keep it cool and comfortable without the use of air conditioning, even on the hottest of summer days. Open the shutters before bed for a delightful cross-breeze of cool air to put you to sleep, before you wake to the sounds of our local wildlife.
Our family has been honored to call the casale home since 2024. We have four children, all of whom attend local schools, and it is our pleasure to share this experience with yours.
